HOW TO FIND US…….
Hale House, 62 Thirsk Rd, Northallerton, North Yorks, DL6 1PL.
Hale House is located to the south side of Northallerton on the main road (A168) from Thirsk to Northallerton. Hale House has free parking to the front of the building and staff parking to the side of the building. Alternatively, we have a parking arrangement with County Hall where users of the studio can park free of charge after 6pm and during weekends
From the South heading North A1(M) take Junction 49 Dishforth Interchange, Signposted Thirsk and Teeside (A168 & A19). Travel approx 8 miles and then take the exit for Northallerton (A168). Stay on this road for 10 miles. When you reach the outskirts of Northallerton, you are now on Thirsk Road. Hale House is located on the left hand side, opposite a right turn junction (Mill Hill Lane, signposted to Borrowby) For parking at County Hall, drive past Hale House and take the first left turn onto Racecourse Lane. County Hall is 200yds along on the left. From the North heading South (A1) take Junction 51 Signposted Northallerton, Leeming Bar and Bedale (A684). Follow the signs for Northallerton. You will enter Northallerton on Boroughbridge Road and go past the train station on your left. At the roundabout after the station, take the 4th exit on to Racecourse Lane. At the end of this road, turn right, and Hale House is on your right.
Alternatively, park in County Hall which is half way along on your right and take the short 3 min walk from there. From the North heading South (A19) take the Northallerton & Osmotherly exit, then follow the signs ofr Northallerton (A684). You will approach Northallerton along Stokesley Road. Keep following the signs for the town centre, and then pick up the signs for Thirsk (A168). You will reach a larger roundabout at the south end of the High Street (near Tescos). Follow the Thirsk signs and turn onto Thirsk Road. Hale House is quarter of a mile along on the right hand side. If you wish to park at County Hall, turn right at Racecourse Lane.
Northallerton is on the East Coast main line, with frequent trains running from London, Newcastle and Edinburgh. It is also on the Transpenine route and so is easily accessible from Manchester, Leeds and York. Hale House is a short 5 min walk away from the station. Turn left on exiting the station and then cross the road. At the roundabout, keep on the right hand side and turn right onto Racecourse Lane. At the end of the Lane, turn right and Hale House is on your right.
South Parade is a tree lined road which runs from the train station to the south end of the High St, parallel with Racecourse Lane. There are a number of guest houses here.
